Why a cohort based course?

cohort

/ˈkəʊhɔːt/

noun

A cohort is a small group of students who work through a curriculum together to achieve the same learning objective.

Small and Focused Group

Each cohort will have close to 50 people ensuring you have a richer learning experience helping you broaden your perspective

Thrive Together

Unlike other courses, this cohort will have multidirectional flow of information, here we will thrive on learning from each other through interactions and collaborations.

Discuss and Learn

Learning happens when we discuss, and hence everyone is encouraged to speak, put forth opinions and discuss.

Why should you join?

The primary objective of this program is to make you comfortable at building products that are scalable and reliable. Things you can expect from the cohort-

Design products like a pro

The cohort will make you comfortable at designing products, no matter how stringent the requirements are.

Know the unknowns

Learn some of the most interesting concepts, and super-clever case studies. You are bound to have mind-blowing moments, like Designing a camera for the blind.

When in a dilemma about any product decision, engineering challenges, career advice, or general mentorship, get your doubts cleared during 1:1s with Shravan.

Crack the interview

When you're applying to your dream startup, you would be at ease while designing products in the interview round.

Akhil  June 2022

Thank you so much for the education you have provided me.
I have been in tech/pm industry for over 12 years plus have an MBA from top tier B-school in the US and I learnt so much form you.
The cohorts sessions made me go back to B-school days. :)

I've got a few offers already after learning and applying the knowledge from you. My PM journey has restarted with your knowledge.

Thank you!

Kanupriya Garg June 2022

Wanted to thank you for the YouTube live sessions.

I always knew that I would love to work in a cross functional role like prodcut but never ventured into it due to mental blocker. The block being that I will not have a competitive advantage against premuim MBA graduates.

Your sessions helped remove the block. I start a new role in program management in Nov 2021. I crushed my interviews due to the confidence I got from being able to visualize what I wanted to be doing 10 years down the line. And your videos did have a role to play in it.

So, thank you so much for what you do!!

Bhargavi Jaiswal  June 2022

Thanks to you, I made it to the final round of PayTM PM role, I can't wait to be part of your next cohort. I really want to interact and learn and engage with the product community :)

Isma Ravi June 2022

I have been following you on LinkedIn for quite some time now and I just love your content :)

I am happy to let you know that I have been working as a Product Manager for a Cybersecurity SAAS

Pallavi Bahuguna  June 2022

Would like to share that I cracked a PM opportunity with Microsoft..
Somewhere I feel it was your everyday PM stories that kept insiring me :) so thank you for boosting my moral whenever I logged into my LinkedIn account.

Abhishek Agrawal June 2022

Thanks for the interview that day and I have learned a lot everytime. From offer 73 to many more offers in your pocket. Wish I could hug you and say thanks Rockstar for from the entire Product and problem solving community ❤️

Mohsin Rizwan  June 2022

Frequently asked questions

You can always drop me an email at shravantickoo23@gmail.com for other questions.

I have a full-time job and it will be hard for me to dedicate 5 hrs on a weekend evening. Is the course for me?

In the most ideal scenario I would absolutely recommend having 5 hrs for the same on a weekend as core sessions give most learning but if you are talking about just a week or 2 - recordings of core sessions will do.

Note: It is absolutely essential to attend the core sessions for maximum learning and building the attitude of problem-solving

Are the 2 QnA sessions through the week also essential?

While attendance in core sessions is mandatory, you can choose to skip the QnA but if you attend the same it will be maximum benefit to your learning.

Timings of the sessions?

Weekends - Sat and Sun: 4 PM to 6.30 PM IST [ and it can extend to 3 hrs too so plan accordingly ]
- QnA Sessions: 7 PM to 8.30 PM IST [ Tuesday and Wednesday ]
- For folks from other time zones if you fall in +- 3 hrs of the time zone it is beneficial to enroll but if it's beyond that I wouldn't recommend enrolling

Can I defer to the next cohort?

Yes you can, I will be doing cohorts at a difference of 1 month - 1 cohort, gap of 1-month → Cohort 2.

Will I have access to the recordings always?

Yes you will have access to the recordings always.

Will there be guest speakers?

No there won't be guest speakers as promised but I may bring a few in the QnA sessions. In most scenarios, you will learn from me, the horse's mouth itself.

Will there be assignments? Individual or Group?

There will be mostly group assignments which you will be submitting on Friday of the coming week and will be evaluated till the next Sunday.
i.e Assignment 1 given on first core session Sunday → time to solve till Friday coming week → results till Sunday next week

Assignment 1 winner will be declared on Week 3 core session.

Is there a refund policy?

Refunds will be processed, no questions asked till 7 days from the course commences, post that no refunds will be processed

Will we have mentor PMs in the course?

No there won't be mentor PMs but I will open 1 on 1 for 30 min on Monday, Tuesday for 2 hrs on my calendly link and you can ask questions about the assignments or otherwise.

Does the course guarantee me a Product Manager Job?

No this course does not guarantee a PM job but helps you build a portfolio that will land you one :) The important part is the mindset not the goal , because if mindset vis a vis portfolio is built - a PM job will be super easy to get.

Will there be pre-reads to the sessions?

Yes there will be pre-reads to the sessions and I will share it before the course start date itself.
